This holiday I found 9 strayed dogs in the streets of our town, hungry, bewildered and so scared. How can pet owners leave their pets without food or water, of just drop them off somewhere in the hope that someone will care for them.
Dogs, especially, are so loyal to their owners. Yet, so many owners just don't care. We saved one dog from an empty house. He was tied to a to a pen in the ground, his leash so short he couldn't even stand upright. No food or water anywhere in sight. How could the owners moved out and left him tied up like that. Clearly they'd hoped he would die otherwise they wouldn't have done that. Its the ultimate form of cruelty.
The holidays have past and no one came to claim their dogs. With the other 5 I saved the previous holidays I have 15 dogs now. We don't have a dog shelter in our town, so I have to look after them. I hope to get donations so that I can keep doing it otherwise I don't know what is going to happen. I just can't afford to care for so many dogs unless I get help.

Google their All Mighty Rulers
If there's something that pisses me off big time it's the monopoly Google has over the Internet. They are like a bunch of Hitlers, ruling with an iron fist and everyone must abide by their every rule. I'm sick and tired of reading you must do this or that, or be careful doing so or such because if you put one foot wrong, Google will shut you down, take you out, reject you, close you up, or whatever. They have the power to destroy your website or blog if you incidentally do something they don't like, by taking you off the search list. And if you want AdSense on your site or blog, you have to literally beg "the lords" for it.
I had to wait months before my website was listed at last. And only a month or what later, it was taken off again. I suppose I must have done something me Lords didn't approved of, but do you think they've had the decency just to tell me what that is? No, sir, I'm just a very small fish in their big ocean of wealth producing sharks.
I always hear of site and blog owners complaining about either getting rejected for AdSense or didn't hear from Google at all when they applied. I was approved but when I tried to trace the results of my ads I got the message that I won't get paid for it because the email address I use don't match up with the one they have.When I try to log into my Google Adsense account to find out what is going on, it denied me access! So now they are advertising for free on my blogs and sites! I tried for weeks now to solve the problem or to just get rid of them, but it's no use trying to contact them. I sent one query after die other and I get the same response every time: log into your Adsense account so that you can rectify the problem by doing this and that. Its hopeless to tell the idiots that I can't log into my account because they refuse me access. .
I hope wholeheartedly that Yahoo or Bing is going to overtake Google in the near future. And maybe that day is not so far away. I heard Bing has already passed Yahoo, to take the second place after Google. Oh boy, would I like that!! The day that happen I'll throw the party of the century!

birthday: A 30,000 square foot mansion.'
The three friends congratulated each other just as the fourth returned from the restroom and asked: 'What are all the congratulations
for?'
One of the three said: 'We were talking about the pride we feel for the successes of our sons. ....What about your son?'
The fourth man replied: 'My son is gay and makes a living dancing as a stripper at a nightclub.'

Our precious children
Today I feel sad for all the children who are suffering.
Those who are abused by their parents but keep quit because they'd prefer to die rather than have to go to strangers or a children's home.
Those who are already there because their parents don't care.
Those who are molested by an acquaintance or family member and will have to live with the pain for the rest of their lives.
Those who are bullied and rejected at school, perhaps because they are physically retarded or maybe because they are shy and sensitive.

The 10yr old who shot his mother dead
I can't believe the authorities put this little boy in a youth prison! I can just imagine how scared he must be, not to mention what the older inmates would do to him!
Jeez, I have a ten year old grandson and I can assure you he has no idea what murder means. That boy must have thought the weapon was a toy gun, have anyone thought of THAT possibility and take him out of an environment he doesn't belong! Please, remember he has lost his mother already, don't make him suffer for something he had no idea what he'd done. Or had the intention of killing her.
Years ago, we lived on a farm and because of all the murders on farmers in South Africa, I used to sleep with my pistol under my pillow at night. One morning I woke up from my 3yr old saying: "boom, boom, boom!" and when I opened my eyes, she was standing with my pistol in her hands, aiming directly at me! At that moment I was not scared for myself, I was petrified at the thought that she could have shot herself!
Adults must make sure firearms are under lock and key, then tragedies like these won't happen.

Bullying at schools
We all feel terrible when reading about young people killing innocent bystanders. I don't just talk about the latest Arizona killings but also about all the school killings not so long ago: The Columbine High school massacre where two students killed 12 students and one teacher. The Virginia Tech massacre, where a student killed 32 people. The Red Lake massacre, where 9 people died at the hand of a 16 yr old boy. Lindhurst High School - 4 deaths, Heath High School, 3 deaths. This is only a couple out of about 44 insidents. And all the killers have one common factor: they were victims of school bullies.
They were bullied and rejected and ridiculed because of reasons beyond their control. Some because of their ethical background, other because they were fat, others because they were shy or small or poor or physically disabled.
So, one can reason that if they weren't bullied they wouldn't have killed out of revenge. I know bullying is not a reason to go on a killing spree, but they were all CHILDREN, they reasoned like children. And that's one thing school authorities and parents tend to forget. Most of these killer children only thought of "paying back" when they started killing. They only thought of all the hurt and humiliation they had undergone in the a school where they were supposed to be save but was let down by the authorities.
Parents should talk to their children, try to find out of bullying is taking place at their school. Even if it is not your own child, when you hear about a case, make alarm. Get involved! Remember, if you don't then next time one of the bully victims might shoot YOUR child. Meet with the school board, ask them to post teachers as watch dogs on the playground. And if the head master is unwilling to admit having a problem, organize a guard squad between the parents who are willing to help. Two or three members should then go to the playground before school, during play breaks and after school to be on the lookout for any sign of bullying. Encourage the children to tell you the truth if it happens, say in the classroom and not on the school ground. If it occurs you should make sure that the head master is acting accordingly against the culprits. And don't just give up. There is always courts where you can go to if nothing else helps.
That is really the only way we are going to get rid of bullying, don't give the bullies a chance to torture the innocent.
Times have changed, children have no respect for their parents or other authorities any more. So tactics to avoid these kinds of tragics should also be different. Most schools prefer to turn a blind eye to bullying on the school grounds. And that's a recipe for disasters like the above mentioned cases.

I looked at the picture of the suspect, Jared Loughner, such an attractive young man, and I felt endlessly sad. For congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her family, for the other people who died in the shooting, for this boy-who-just-became-a-man's family and also for him, the killer himself. What makes such a young person, who has his whole life ahead of him, do such a horrible thing? Was it in his genes? Or his upbringing? His domestic circumstances? Was he bullied at school? Did people cause him to do what he did?
Or was he just insane at that moment when he took the lives of so many innocent people? What went through his mind? What motivated him in the first place? Hate? Anger? Revenge? He must have known, the moment he pulled that trigger for the first shot that his life would never be the same. That it has changed forever. And not in a good way. He could have very well killed himself, because I'm fairly sure he will never be a free man again, ever.

I have written a post about this issue a while ago already but after a friend followed it and lost 5 kg (about 11 lbs)in just 3 weeks, I decided to do it again for those who didn't read it and are too lazy to scroll back.
This is how she's doing it:
She eats oats in the morning, or a fruit if she doesn't have much time. She uses a small bowl, meant for babies, and a teaspoon to eat the oats with. This way it looks as if she eats a lot, which tricks the brain into responding as if there are abundance, thus speeding up the metabolism. The rest of the day she eats whatever she craves for.
She eats slowly, which is very important, because it takes about 20 for your stomach to tell your brain you had enough. It also allows you to savor the taste of your food, thus enjoying it.
She eats about 5 times a day, with the result that she never gets hungry, which is the biggest reason for binge eating. And because she now is never hungry, she eats much less than before.
She tries to include at least 3 fruits in her meals per day as well as raw vegetable salad.
She claims her love for chocolate has decreased drastically, but when she craves it, she eats and enjoys it without feeling guilty. And she still loses weight!
She drink 6 to 8 glasses of water per day.

Just heard the news that congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords have been shot. Apparently a mad gunman opened fire in a crowd when, according to a eyewitness she was shot "point blank in the head." The shooting occurred just after 10:00 AM local time at a Safeway grocery store.

Money making online - the real thing or a scam?
Have you noticed, all these moneymaking schemes (scams?) are operating in the exact same way. First you get the email, telling you if you want to make money, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss and it won't cost you a dime. And "click here" if you are interested.
So, you click and now the spokesperson follow the next four steps:
1) First he tell you he's different than all the other people that tries to sell you their stuff. He knows what it is to be scammed and robbed of your money. He went through all these motions. He was on the verge of bankruptcy, living in a small apartment, driving a rundown station wagon and was up to his ears in debt.
2) Then, out of desperation he decided to try the internet. He lost lots of money, got scammed time and again, but then he discovered this miraculous way of making loads of money. And here, to prove he's not lying, is all his bank statements for the last couple months, showing that he made thousands and thousands of dollars every month. Oh, and he lives in a mansion now, and he and his wife are driving luxury cars and they go on holiday at least three time a year.
(Warning to the unsuspected: the moment they show you their bank statement, it's a sure indication that they are going to try to sell you something)

3) In stead of showing you now (for free, as he promised in the email) how to make that loads of money, he rambles on and on about how lovely and wonderful this idea of his is and how you can benefit from it. And then, after about 10 pages of this nonstop ramblings he tells you how much this info could have cost you but if you buy now, its only going to cost you this mere amount, which is usually a stiff sum of money. Without exception he also prompts you to hurry up because he's selling so fast, maybe tomorrow will be too late.
Well, my friends, in the beginning, when I was still naive enough to trust these scammers I fell time and again for their crap. I bought and I deleted shortly afterward. Because not a single one of them could help me make money or learn me something useful. Usually they bombarded you with so many info you have no idea where to start or what to do with it, and if you are brave enough to give it a try, the pages are cluttered with so many links that you don't progress further than the first page. One link takes you to another page with more links and every one om those take you to yet another page with even more links, etc etc. In the end I am so lost and confused that I just give up and delete the entire package of worthless junk.
This I know by now. All these money making programs, schemes or whatever you call it, are the same: RUBBISH. And the only people making money out of it is those who sell it to fools like me!

Twitter? Not my cup of tea, thank you
I'm truly amazed by the popularity of a site like Twitter. I joined about two years ago and up until today I still couldn't figure out why it's so popular. First of all, I find it a very cold an impersonal medium to communicate. It seems to me most tweeters are using Twitter for advertising. Secondly, it looks like everyone on there speaks solo. Try as hard as I can I just never can catch up where certain remarks came from or to who it's directed. Thirdly, and the thing that annoys me most, it feels as if tweeters are speaking a strange language of their own. Most of the time I don't understand a word of it, perhaps because most of the time there is no word, just letters and digits etc. Here's some examples of what I mean:
